Next Step Prosthetics creates a patient experience that thoughtfully integrates with all the many facets of the healthcare team to achieve and document positive outcomes of exceptional value to the patient and the patient's insurance provider while restoring patients to their highest level of independence by providing expertly fitted, highly creative prosthetics.

  • Mike Kayser CPO, Prosthetist & Owner of Next Step Prosthetics

    Mike Kayser

    CPO, PROSTHETIST + OWNER

    Mike is certified by ABC Orthotics and Prosthetics for over twelve years focused on the pediatric and adult population.

    He graduated from NAU with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology with an Emphasis in Pre-Medicine, then obtained his graduate degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Cal State Dominguez Hills in 2012.

    He relocated back to Flagstaff to complete his two year residency program. He now calls Northern Arizona home and continues to work and serve the community while enjoying the outdoors with his wife and seven children.

    Maggie works closely with Mike at Next Step Prosthetics to keep everything running smoothly.

    She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Child Development and Multi-cultural Studies, and a graduate degree in Education in 1998.

    After she has focused on healthcare communication and organization to further foster connections between patients, families, doctors and insurance providers.

    She lives in Flagstaff with her two daughters, and enjoys the local community and activities with her family.

    Mom, volunteer, Mentor and above the knee amputee and Next Step Prosthetic patient.

    As an amputee since 2013, Jenn has enjoyed being a part of the US National ParaCheer Team, being a mentor at limb loss camps and meeting new and potential amputees to help spread awareness of the amazing things that can be done with (and without) Prosthetics's. She truly enjoys meeting others in our STRIDE our Amputee Support Group, and creating a welcoming community for all.

    Mom, Advocate + Mentor

    Lindsey is a local artist, blog writer, and has been active in amputee health advocacy even prior to becoming a below the knee amputee herself in April of 2024.

    She is excited to share her growth, experience and enthusiasm with amputees and their families as they begin their journey. She particularly has a passion for speaking with children about living a full life as an amputee.

    Lindsey illustrates this by sharing one of her current goals which is to complete the Rim2Rim (R2R) at the Grand Canyon wearing her Levitate running blade.

    SHOWLOW/LAKESIDE NEXT STEP PATIENT LIAISON

    Lilyan is a young, active new mom living in that brings a great perspective to living your best life as a below knee amputee.

    She loves to be there, right from the start, offering support prior to a patient’s amputation.

    Because Lilyan lives in Showlow with her husband and son she is always available for questions, motivation and support as patients and caregivers navigate hospitals, surgeries and aftercare.
